#BigBlogX Adventure Day 12: Great Earth Expedition, Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg!

The next day, we went for a tour with Ryan's Great Earth Expedition! If you are staying at HI Halifax, you can get ask for Ryan! I think they have special price for HI members as well!

For a great adventure time around Nova Scotia, do look for Ryan! The tours include transportation, lunch and guiding services to undiscovered places. :D

We went to Citadel Hill at first to learn about Halifax's history. Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia. Ryan told me about the Halifax Explosion that occurred back in 1917 that took about 2000 lives on a typical Thursday morning. Halifax used to be a wartime harbour and we can see a lot of memorials around the city.

We dropped by the Halifax Public Gardens are Victorian era public gardens established in 1867. It is located opposite Victoria Park and was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada.

This place is filled with various flowers and trees from different countries!

A bandstand in the centre of the garden. I feel like this place is so suitable for  a wedding ceremony right!! :D

Saw the biggest goose as well!

Ryan then brought us to the unknown. It was a secret path only he knew.

WHERE AM I?!

I'M IN PARADISE!!

Ryan was very well versed around the barons and he introduced many types of plants and their origins to us.

He then led us to another path, which made me jump with joy.

It's such a great spot to view the Atlantic Ocean!! :D Watching and hearing the waves beat the coast was really, really awesome!

Special thanks to Shane for taking my 'back' pictures for me ahha.

I've never felt that alive before haha.

We then drove around 30 minutes to Peggy's Cove!

And may I also present to you, the world's most photographed lighthouse!

Nearby the lighthouse, we can actually walk to the edge to see the Atlantic Ocean! I was so lucky that the waves hit the rocks for this picture to be materialized haha.

Ryan then brought us to a secret location for lunch!

I can proudly say I had picnic beside the Atlantic Ocean. T__________T

The lovely picnic foods that Ryan prepared for us. Yums!

When I thought the adventure was over, it is not!

We then drove to a small port town called Lunenberg and is around 90km from Halifax. Lunenberg was also declared as an UNESCO Heritage Site due to its unique architecture and design. When I saw it, I pretty much understood why this should be preserved. :)

#chinglegproject? HAHA.

We also dropped by Sweet Treasures, which Ryan dubbed as the best ice cream ever!

And I agree! Plus this is where my #chinghandproject on Instagram started! :P

Only one more day till the end of my #bigblogx adventure! :( :(
