Hachiko

I watched this movie yesterday.

Hachi, a Dog's Tale which is based on a true story. Hachiko is a Japanese pure breed Akita. His master, a professor named Hidesamuro Ueno goes to work through Shibuya station and every day at 4pm, Hachiko will be waiting for him at the station so they both go to work together.

But Professor died from a stroke at the university, and he never returned to the train station again. But Hachiko's loyalty towards the Professor made him waited at the same Shibuya Station for ten years, surviving under the good will of the passengers there.
The beginning of the movie

As the story progresses. Mixture of funny and sad moments
Where Hachi shows his loyalty everyday and how the Professor bonds with him

Professor passed on and Hachi do not know about it

After the Professor died till the end of the movie.

Seriously, I think I cried non stop for nearly an hour. Wet the whole pillow with my snot and tears. I've never cried so much since 'One Liter of Tears' which is another tear jerker.
Hachi means '8', which means luck in Japan's spiritual context. :)

Ribena's Substitute

+
=

As we all know, Ribena is made from real fruits of blackcurrant with super excessive amount of sugar and other ingredients which are in scientific names ahoho.

But the other day my mom bought a basket of Ribena fruits in the morning market for RM1.00. O_O She claimed it's Ribena fruits as what the aunty who sold these to her. But NOOO! How can they be fruits called Ribena?

It is called Roselle Calyses from the Roselle plant! It can be used as an alternative to make drinks to taste like Ribena. At first I thought it was blackcurrant but I remember the Ribena mascot does not look like that huhu.

(Sorry I forgot to take picture ahoho)

All you gotta do is just boil the calyses with sugar and water as the fruit itself is super, duper, super, duper sour! The color and taste is just the same as the Ribena concoction.

Or you could ferment them to make Ribena flavored jams! :D
I think it's a healthier alternative if you really like Ribena! :D But it takes more work to make the drink as you need to boil and get the taste right. Remember to chill it or add ice, nom nom nom nom!!!!!

I'm Going to Have an 'Onsen'!!

Since going to Japan for Onsen is so expensive, I've decided to bring it here instead.

Presenting! cheeChingy; onsen style! :D Like the proverb say, It Was Blood, Sweat and Tears When It Comes to Blog Layouts.

*Empty wallet, building an Onsen is not cheap!*

*The crazy piping system that is needed to ensure the Onsen remain warm and fluffy*

*The decorations are very important too! :)*

How do like this new layout? :D Faster comment down thereeee! :P

Omg Keeeeel Me!!!!

My spirit to change blog layout was so hyped up that I finished the designs last Saturday. But today, I've decided to change it all over again. T________T

*Slaps self*

Click on it to feel it's full glory! :P

My first concept was in a graveyard where two ghosts wants to brighten up the place with flowers akakakaka! I thought it seems clever that time, but today when I look at them again, I think the design is not nice at all. T__________T

I even did a matching footer, and a Ghost Twitter Bird. T_________T

Gonna go put ointment on my face and work diligently on the new layout now.

Big Fish Moment with Pizza Hut

Living as a bear in the middle of the city is very hard. cry There is a scarce supply of fishes and I get hungry easily.

Once in a while, we get to eat premium fishes such as tuna maguro, or salmon! biggrin But that's like once in twenty blue moons.

Thus, at times, I'll be so hungry till I turn grey. Fortunately, Panda was smart enough to discover Pizza Hut's new promotion! The Fish King Pizza!! The best thing is, it fits my budget! :D

But I was not that smart hehehehe. But finally, only a few clicks from my mouse, I've ordered the Fish King Pizza!! A hungry bear needs its fishes! The whole experience with it deserves a video dedicationnn!

How Did We Get? 8 Fish Fingers, How Did We Get? Imported Alaskan Pollock?

The moment we opened the box, we were instantly lured by the smell and the mouth watering appearance of the Fish King Pizza. *Weak knees*

This is what the gastronomic pizza looks like. 8 wholesome fish fingers arranged neatly with other awesome ingredients. It feels like I'm swimming with the Fish King himself. xD

*Laying out picnic items to savor the awesome pizza :D*

The lovely Alaskan Pollock fish is cleverly used in the fish fingers, as it is very suitable due to its lower oil content. and it's perfect for breaded fish products! Noms!! One bite and the sweetness oozes out, complimenting the other ingredients. biggrin

Even my picky Mama Bear who doesn't like western food like Pizzas likes how everything blend together so well! Kept pestering my daddy who ate lunch to try hehe! She was dissappointed when I told her the promotion is only till end of June. sad

*Does the happy Fish King dance*

The combination of Alaskan Pollock Fish Fingers (Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside!!), Crabsticks (My favorite!), Pineapples (Also my favorite!), Capsicums (Didn't eat those sorry!), Onions and with the Lime Mayo Base, WOOO-LA-LA-LA!!!!! The flavors just burst in your mouth!!

Basking under the refreshing smell of Fish King Pizza

Excited looking at the abundant of ingredients. Was tempted to eat slowly to fully enjoy the moment ahoho.

Ah~ Simply delicious and filling~

IT'S THE LAST PIECE ALREADY!!?!? *Chomps*

Why does happy moments last so short? cry But no worries!!

Oh, did you know if you have Maybank credit card, you can get 30% off! :D

P/S: Sorry Mama! You look like a brown mouse T_____T

Woolley's Food City

Another food post because I think everyone loves food! :D Actually I got nothing to update :P

Woolley's Food City in Ipoh!

They have renovated so it does not look dodgy anymore. My siblings used to go up to the second floor to look at the arcade games every time we come here. Good times! :D

Full house! It's been quite some time I've been here so I presume the food will be good. There's a lot of stalls to choose from actually. I wanted to order their Bento but the price can cut my throat. :(

Pan Mee - RM3.50. Pretty normal to me.

My RM3.50 POT OF THICK, GOOEY CLAYPOT LOU SHU FUN! T_____T The gravy is so thick that I got full in few minutes. See the appearance also know adee. T______T

I think they glued my mouth together.

Small anchovy fried rice. RM3.50 or RM4.50. Haha sorry forgotten already! The reason I named it small cause my mom said it's a smaller version of anchovy which I do not know the name in English. :(

Chicken and Char Siew rice - RM4.00. I think it's nice cause my brother finished the whole plate quickly. :D I'm impressed with the presentation though. :D

Indian Rice - RM5.00 with that fish at the far corner. Hahaha. No better picture of this cause my sister took this lalalala.

Overall, there's only a few notable stalls in Woolley's Food City that is nice. Don't order the THICK, GOOEY CLAYPOT LOU SHU FUN THAT I ORDERED!!!! D:
