Two days ago, on the 29th of January was the Nokia Comes with Music Launch in Bukit Kiara Indoor Equestrian Park. I was working as a crew, and was there since 2pm.

There were already people waiting outside the gates when I arrived, and I was kinda shocked cause the RM66 for 66 X6 Nokia phones were not first come first basis but it was under ballots. Nevertheless, I went in and got my shirt and briefing and waited for time to pass till 6pm as the doors will be opened then. VIPs and media will be thronging in at this time as well.
The concept in promoting the launch was with a Cube whom the ad agency labelled as the so called UFO to generate hype. However, I think the marketing for this event seemed inadequate and I did not know about this event until I did the flyering job during the week before. There were not enough buzz generated as well, and the buzz started in Twitter and Facebook only one or two days before.
There were 4 booths situated at the back of the venue to promote the X6 phones to the crowd, which I was supposed to working there as well together with the official Nokia promoters.
The redemption booth which brought both satisfaction and dissatisfaction to various people that day. I was kinda jealous with those that got the opportunity to redeem the phone for only Rm66. But there were many that were disappointed before the event as well.

The poor people waiting outside, drenched in heavy rain which started around 4pm to 5pm. I saw many people who wore shorts and their feet were soaked in mud. A couple which I handed the flyers to lost a shoe amidst the chaos as well.
There were some miscommunication and many thought the door will be opened at 6pm, but it was actually not. And suddenly, a few crew threw the door gifts to the crowd and everyone thought it was the ballot coupons for redemption, and everything was SO CHAOTIC after that.
People from behind keep pushing and pushing, and the crew have to keep them from barging in. Everyone was shouting at each other, and to be frank it was really scary. People in front were stuck and the people behind could not go back due to more people from behind pushing.
The person in charged said that if the crowd did not stop, the ballot coupons will not be distributed, and somehow with the arrival of the RELA security, everything seemed to calm down. The ballot coupons were given inside, and everyone is required to line up for it.
Unfortunately, there was a girl who was crushed and dehydrated and she could not move her body at all. She was brought in, and it took us quite some time to look for the St Johns, and basically, we were chaotic as well.
The crowd that night. Fortunately the crowd was crazyyyyyy! The atmosphere was great, although I think the number of people were not up to expectation. I expected more as it was a free concert after all. I think quite a number left as well, like Cedric.
The crowd was the most hyped up when it was Boys Like Girls's turn.
The lead singer ran down to the crowd, and this was what happened. =_______________=" I think everyone wanna touch his butt ahhahaha! Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of them, only knew '2 is Better than 1' and 'The Great Escape'.
When the concert was ending, a girl actually fell and sprained her backbone, and she could not move as well. I hope nothing bad happened, as the backbone is the most important.
The aftermath. Really pity the cleaners. And oh! I went to Boys Like Girls dressing room, and they left a few gifts by the fans there. There was a handmade scrap book, and I really pity the fan.
Wouldn't mind working as a team in organizing events and all, it seems tiring yet rewarding at the same time. All and all, I think this event could be better, especially from the marketing POV.

Been working as a flyer girl for Nokia Music Launch this Friday for the past two days in front of e@Curve. There was a cube there promoting the upcoming launch of the Nokia X6 phone this Friday on the 29th of January.

Three of us in charged of distributing flyers were accompanied with a "mini gig" by 'The Bananas'.
Throughout my 2 days working experience (=P) there, I learnt so many things, and the most important thing one could learn is, next time whenever someone passes you a flyer, JUST TAKE IT! T_T We are just trying to do our job, and the feeling of rejection is really painful. :(
Below is a list of the different reactions observed from my P.O.V when I was handling out the flyers complete with illustrations :P There were mixed reactions, both good, to really, really bad.
The super excited ones. They were super duper elated when they found out that it's free and Boys Like Girls will be performing! Love them the most as they made me, the flyer girl really happy as well. I feel appreciated.
The takers. They don't mind taking a flyer or two, and would approach the flyerin' team personally. Encountered a few who came up and asked what's going on. I feel appreciated by this bunch of people as well. *Sniff*
Very polite when they reject my attempt of creating awareness. Usually they will say 'No, thank you' with a smile and I'll reply 'Thank you' automatically as well.
Those that reject using a hand wave. Some will smile while doing it, but some will just look expressionless or angry. This gesture is the most popular when one reject your attempt to distribute the flyers.
Unfortunately, there were many sour faces as well. I think they thought I was trying to sell something to them, and they refused to be touched/disturbed/talked to/etc. Was very depressed encountering these kind. They'll treat you like an enemy.
The ignorant ones! Basically they treat like you don't exist, and you are basically talking to the air. They ignore you, they don't even look at you.
There were many who were very reluctant to take the flyers as well. I can see that they are really reluctant, but they just take it anyway. :D Perhaps they worked as a flyering crew as well?
Distributing flyers is a busy place is very tiring and we tend to give the person over and over again when they pass through us. We cannot really remember who have we given and not. Repetition tends to happen and some will take it again, but some will tell that they have gotten it already.
Trust me, please take the flyers next time you see someone distributing it, or just reject politely. Please don't ignore, it hurts a lot. :(

Damn I really really really really really need a new laptop. :( After the HELP incident, I lost Rm550 to them and not get anything back! There's this design contest by Dell, but at first I was really hesitating as there were so many designs uploaded!

But the need of getting a new laptop without bothering my parents forced me to at least try. Thus decided to join this Dell Design contest. The winners of this contest could land herself (*Cough*) Rm5000 cash voucher!! 5k! 5k! 5k! *Eyes beaming*
Painstakingly did this from scratch, and finally decided with this after so many attempts in satisfying myself. Tried so many color combinations, design style, concept and finally this is it! :D

If you look closely, this design comprises of two birds and a butterfly. I believe that creativity is very vast, and with simple shapes and drawings, you can go beyond your imagination. And in this case, mine.

Sixth place, behind Kraft and Cadbury. I'm sure that #yorais can be pushed up, but I don't think it will gain the number 1 spot though. The last time any Malaysian that made to trend in Twitter was Yasmin Ahmad's death last year.

I withdrew from HELP University College yesterday.

It was crazy, lucky there were some problems with my exemptions whereby I was given exemption for Public Relations subject, but my course outline do not have one. Hence, I went to the department to find out what could I do about it.
When I told him that I was exempted 3 Free Electives, and a few subjects from Year 2, he was like, "No no, it does not work this way, you only could exempt subjects from Year 1."
Then it struck me, are they voiding my exemptions that was given and paid by me?
Went to the Acting Head of Department, and at first he told me, if what was given to you, then it is given! We can't void it.
Wah, I was ^_______________^.
Then I asked more questions, and suddenly he said, "Alright, you bring your exemption slip for me to see, then we'll discuss on it more"
I went =_________________=".
I did not bring my exemption slip that time, and rush from KPD(E) <- One of HELP's building all the way to Wisma HELP to print it. When I reached Level 9, the lady said the printing service are not available as there were exams going on. But luckily, she was very helpful, she called the CareerSense department and a girl there were able to help me to print one or two copy.
Off we went to the 5th floor, and it was all done! Wa-lah! Happily, we went back to KPD(E) again to show my exemption slip and jeng jeng jeng! The HOD took my slip and went out to discuss with the Deputy manager and they came back with my slip.
2 subjects were highlighted blue. I told them about the changes of their syllabus and she highlighted another 2.
With another void subject which is PR, I am now left with 5 subjects! 5 subjects = 1 semester. Which means I need to study at least 2.5 years more. So it was from 11 subjects down to only 5.
Then I met Jessie from Consumer marketing Department (Which is all the way back to main block), and she told me to get a withdrawal form from Registry and submit the withdrawal form.
I was O_________________O when the Registry staff told me that I could not get back my exemption fees. WTF!
Ran back to Jessie, and she said she'll handle it for me. Then off I went back to KPD(E) again, which is all the way to the other side by the way, and submitted the form.
Really hope I could get back all the money that I paid.
From what I've known, it seemed that there are miscommunications between the main department with the Commnications department. Rules changed for the courses after the MQA visit and only the communications department knew about it.
I think it's something not acceptable as everyone in HELP University should know of every update and changes so that they don't confuse students like me. :(
I think I shall share a little experience during my ordeal in HELP University College.
1. Lecturers and staffs are all willing to help. It defeats the purpose of the name HELP right? :P2. They use a lot of original books in their teaching, and exams are mostly based on it. One of the Advertising Copywriting lecturer said that she might not even upload the notes online for the students to print it because students won't refer to the book after that.3. You have to print your own notes. What about the Rm500 resource fees that we paid? =___=4. There are good lecturers in HELP. I love the Business Admin lecturer, Bill Quah. Although he speaks a little sarcastically, he gives good and simple examples during his lesson, and I understood everything.5. There are also bad lecturers in HELP. The Advertising Copywriting lecturer, who is teaching COPYWRITING, asked the class how to spell 'Theatherette'.6. The environment there is not so student friendly. The waiting halls before classes are equipped with tables and chairs, but it seemed dimmed.7. Students hang around in cliques, which is understandable as they were friends from Foundation already.8. Buses from Main Block to Jalan Dungun's classes are frequent, so no worries on that.9. Lectures and tutorials are set in this way ->8am - 10am | 10am - 12pm | 12pm - 2pm | 2pm - 4pm | 4pm - 6pm10. The subjects offered this semester may not be offered the next semester, thus you may need more time to finish your course here. Overheard a senior during orientation that she only have 2 subjects this semester as she did all the others already, and those remaining subjects are not offered.11. The Registry Dept screwed up my subjects fees for the first semester as well. Called back to say will call back, but never did.12. Each subject ranges around 1.5k to 1.6k. So if you take 4 subjects, it can go up to >Rm6k.
This ordeal really made me confused, that is why I'm looking for a 6 months job so I can plan my financial to go Australia or New Zealand to finish up within 1 year.

Today I called in regards to my withdrawal and refund of fees, and suddenly they asked me, "Will you stay on if my HOD can give you 10 exemptions?"
Before this they were so adamant about it, and now, they are telling us this? I think it is really irresponsible of them. Promised to call back by today, no calls so far. This is super frustrating.

Finally I called back. The crazy Rm450 "REGISTRATION" fees are not refundable. Rm450!!!!!!!! Register also need Rm450 ar? Do what wor? !@$#%$^$^%&%$%
This is why so many people prefer to go overseas to pursue their higher education, not like the money making private universities here. So what if the genius boy joined HELP to pursue his studies? Another marketing scam only wert. If there are so many of my cases, no wonder HELP UNIVERSITY COLLEGE can build a new campus with this facilities, that facilities which in reality, students rarely use them.
And why do they want all these? Resource fees. HELP current "campus" charges Rm500 resource fees per year, and with the new campus? Be prepared to be slaughtered.
GAH I HATE HELP UNI!!!!!!!!

Firstly, you need an invisible cloak! This is to ensure no other party can block or stop you when you sneaked into the house. And also to hide yourself from the kids who sometimes wake up in the middle of the night.
Secondly, a multi-purpose belt filled with multi-purpose gadgets! The most important gadget is the grappling hook where you could go places to places in the child's room quickly. (Just in case my wings fail)
Thirdly, a lovely crown that blinks! It sorts of enhance your status as a tooth fairy. Every fairy needs a crown!
And also a wand! This is a wand to collect the tooth and replace it with coins for the child. Every tooth collected will be placed in the tooth-shaped wand.
Fifth, in order to look cool, you need a cool shades. However, it is not an ordinary shades! It allows you to detect heat, or possible intruder, and scan the size of the tooth to determine the value. The child can be found easily as well with this marvelous gadget.
Gothic styled wings! This wings allow you to zoom and fly to the target in lightning speed, so you could finish the mission faster. With this, I can be promoted faster as well hekhek.
I'm the awesome Tooth Fairyyyyy! I hope I'll be more yeng than The Rock in the movie Tooth Fairy. ><

Basically, it's about a girl that replaced her twin brother for some time to join an Idol group called An.Jell (Angel :P) and shows how she cope, and learned about love.
All three members of An.Jell has distinct personality, and I love all of them!! :D
The main guy, Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang GeunSuk), who is evil, and cruel on the outside, but is so soft in the inside! :P
So cuteeeeeeee! Look at the smile!!! *Fangirl* His eyes, not proportioned though. But still cute!
The main female character, Go Mi Nyu (Park ShinHye), but in the whole drama she's acting like her twin brother Go Mi Nam. She was a nun in training, and ended up as an idol, and learned about love. (Oh I'm repeating it again!)
She's really adorable in the drama, and she really looks good with short hair compared to long hair.
Kang ShinWoo (Jung YongHwa) hekhek! The good 'Hyung', who knows everything in the beginning, but is succumbed by one sided love. *Sniff* Damn kesian this guy.
